Summer Shenanigans
I traveled a lot this summer, and while I haven’t kept pace with my writing, I have been thinking about writing, and that should count for something, shouldn’t it? The end of May took my family and me to New Orleans, where I found a walking stick similar to Tabitha’s in the Lady of Letters series. (Score!) The summer officially kicked off with a fun bookclub meeting in Madison, South Dakota, with my sister and her friends. Then it was off to Des Moines, Iowa, where I had an opportunity to meet one of my dearest readers. More fun was had in Brookings, South Dakota, with author Rosemarie Ross as we discussed all things mystery at The Nook bookstore. Next, I traveled with my husband overseas on his work trip. We stopped at Paris, my favorite city, for four days to celebrate our anniversary (which we weren’t able to do in February because of his heart surgery.) Then it was off to Amsterdam and Amersfoort to work and to visit our good friends. I have one more trip next week to Nashville for Bouchercon, a mystery book conference. After that, you will find me glued to my writing chair. If you see me out and about, Tabitha gives you permission to hit me over the head with her walking stick!
